Installing the app

As usual, the easiest way to install the app is to go via the Atlassian marketplace.

An alternative way of installing the app is downloading it via the Atlassian Marketplace and manually uploading it to your Jira instance on <your Confluence base URL>/plugins/servlet/upm.

Project Specific Field Names is currently available for Jira Datacenter.

Before you begin

You must log in to your Jira instance with global system administrator permission to be able to carry out the following steps.

Installing the app

  1. Log in as a system administrator.

  2. Click on the cog icon on the top right of the Jira header bar and switch to the Manage apps section.

  3. Enter “Project Specific Field Names” into the field “Search the Marketplace”.

  4. Select Try free to start with the trial version or Buy Now to purchase a license for Project Specific Field Names.

  5. Select Generate license when you are redirected to my.atlassian.com.

  6. Click Apply license.

Updating the app

Whenever a new version becomes available, the Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) will show an Update button next to the app. Hit the button to upgrade the app to the latest version.

Disabling the app

  1. Log in as a system administrator.

  2. Click on the cog icon on the top right of the Jira header bar and switch to the Manage apps section.

  3. Expand the app in the section for “User-installed” apps.

  4. Click the button Disable.

Uninstalling the app

  1. Log in as a system administrator.

  2. Click on the cog icon on the top right of the Jira header bar and switch to the Manage apps section.

  3. Expand the app in the section for “User-installed” apps.

  4. Click the button Uninstall.
