Space: select the space to which the video should be uploaded.
Title: enter a meaningful title for your video.
Description: describe what your video is about.
Language: select the language(s) of your video.
Category: choose one or multiple fitting categories (as defined by system administrators).
Target Group: choose one or multiple target groups which your video addresses (as defined by system administrators).
Labels: choose one or multiple fitting labels or enter a new one.
Visibility: decide whether your video should be visible only within the selected space or globally for all users (independent of the permissions of the space to which the video is uploaded).
Video File: last but not least indicate the video file which is to be uploaded.

The supported video formats depend on the installed codecs on your Confluence servers as well as on the codecs available in the viewer’s browserWe recommend using mp4 as the format for any videos. Mp4 is widely support by operating systems and browsers. If you choose other video formats, the compatibility will depend on both your own browser (for the generation of the preview) and the browser of the viewers (to play the video). When the upload has been started, you will see a progress bar. Once the upload has finished, Videos for Confluence will process your video in order to generate its thumbnail and preview. You will be redirected to the detail page as soon as everything is completed.

You may want to narrow down the video videos relevant for you by using the search field on top of the overview page or by applying additional filters to the attributes language, category or , target group or labels via “More filters”.

The attributes title, description, language, category, target group, labels and visibility can be edited by from the detail view of the video. Hit Edit to change the information.
